Family planning is one of the strategies to reduce maternal mortality, especially mothers with 4T conditions, namely Too young to give birth (under 20 years old), The increasing population is a major problem for countries in the world, especially developing countries. Indonesia is a developing country with the fourth largest population after China, India and the United States. The Population Growth Rate (LPP) is 1.49% and the number will continue to increase in accordance with the population growth rate. The population growth rate is 1.49% per year. With that amount of growth rate, the average fertile woman gives birth to 2.6 children. It must be in accordance with the target, the average woman gives birth to 2.1 children so that the population growth rate can be suppressed to reach the ideal number, which is around one to two million per year according to the target in 2025, to suppress the population growth rate and improve maternal and child health. The way is by introducing a program called Family Planning (KB). This type of research is an analytical study with a cross-sectional study design used to determine the relationship between knowledge and husband's support with the use of IUDs at Murni Teguh Horas Insani Hospital, Pematang Siantar, March-July 2025, where the number of samples was 46 people using total sampling. Data analysis was carried out using bivariate analysis with the chi-square test at α = 5%. The results of the study showed that the majority of respondents were 20-35 years old (60.9%), the majority of respondents were >2 people (60.9%), the majority of respondents had good knowledge (52.2%), the majority of respondents had high education (SMA-D3/S1) (54.3%), and the majority of respondents did not participate in family planning (58.7%). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge and interest in using intrauterine contraceptives (p = 0.009) and there is a relationship between education and interest in using intrauterine contraceptives (p = 0.001). It is recommended that health workers in hospitals increase health education or promotion regarding the use of intrauterine contraceptives both inside the health center building and outside the hospital building so that mothers can have information regarding IUDs.
